The Core Guiding Principles & Values of Our Nonprofit Organization

Faith
Our faith in Jesus Christ as the only hope for salvation and the restoration of a broken world is our strongest guiding principle and the one we are most committed to instilling in the children of The Hope of Jesus Children's Home. Through a deep and genuine faith in Jesus, we hope our children will come to understand the value of honesty, loyalty, and living peacefully with others.

Mercy
Mercy is a cherished value to those who have received the grace of God. As we live in community with one another, our children will be taught to demonstrate mercy to others through acts of compassion, kindness, and the offering and receiving of forgiveness.

Respect
Respect for authority, human life, and property are principles we desire to encourage in the children of The Hope of Jesus Children's Home. Showing respect for others regardless of race, gender, or social class will be exhibited in our daily life as we work together for the common good.

Responsibility
We believe learning to live as a responsible member of a family and a society is an integral part of a child's development into a trustworthy and dependable adult. Our children will be given age-appropriate responsibilities, aiding them in the formation of their character and allowing them to learn the positive and negative consequences associated with the decisions they make.

Our Statement of Faith
"We believe there is one god, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit."

We believe... in the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, God incarnate; that he was born of a virgin, led a sinless life, and paid for the sins of those who believe in Him with His atoning death; in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return.

People receive forgiveness of sins, reconciliation with God, and eternal life through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, full of living power and unchanging from generation to generation.

The Holy Spirit is the Father's appointed Counselor, present in all those who believe in Christ, thereby enabling us to live a Godly life.

The Church is the Body and Bride of our Lord Jesus Christ, the chosen vehicle for the message of the gospel and the community in which disciples of Jesus worship, serve those in need, and find mutual support for a life of faith, regardless of race, gender, or social class.
